Mona Singh was born on 8 October in the year 1981 in a Sikh family in Chandigarh. Her father is an ex Army officer, so they shifted to many places, and now she is a very prominent alumni of the place Kendriya Vidyalaya Vayusena Nagar, Nagpur.

Singh, which was dubbed into the Hindi television with the very famous Sony Entertainment Television’s iconic and hit soap opera Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (2003–06), in which basically she gained as much popularity through her works. The sincere, intelligent and also the naive Jasmeet “Jassi” Walia for simultaneously three years. The show has made her a household name, and she has won her many accolades at award functions just as Apsara Awards, Indian Telly Awards and also the Indian Television Academy Awards.

In the year 2006, she also participated in the reality show named Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 1, where she emerged as the winner. She also hosted Femina Miss India and also Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 in the year 2007, followed by her participation and also winning in the show named Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena in 2008.

Singh then made the team with Ekta Kapoor’s banner Balaji Telefilms for the first of four consecutive fiction show collaborations in Channel NDTV Imagine’s Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi where she was cast as Raunaq Makhija from the year 2008 to 2009. Shifting her focus mostly towards hosting and non fiction shows, she also hosted many of the shows like Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2009), Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 (2010), Star Ya Rockstar (2011), Shaadi 3 Crore Ki and also the famous show CID Veerta Awards (2012) and she was also a participant on the show named Meethi Choori No 1 (2010).
